Born and raised in Muskegon, Carlos is a recent graduate of Nazarene Bible College, Colorado Springs, CO, where he hopes to retire in the far-off future. Carlos' approach to ministry is casual, yet it is his intention that everyone who comes to our church experiences not only the love of Christ, but the welcoming embrace of our congregation. He believes that while the pastor is the shepherd, it is the fellowship of believers that makes a difference in the lives of others. He is fond of saying, "I am an average preacher at best, but by the grace of God, I am a darn good pastor." Pastor Carlos always reminds everyone that he "doesn't embarrass anyone..." yet he makes sure you're known! This is just another part of being relational. Carlos, his wife, Yvonne and son Jose, enjoy being with folks in the church, whether it is during the worship hour, prayer time, mystery dinners, volleyball, bowling or any of the other myriad of activities they regularly schedule.
